[Financial News] Fashion platform 29CM, operated by MUSINSA, drew 35,000 visitors to the '2026 DDP Design Fair,' which it co-hosted with the Seoul Design Foundation.
According to industry sources on the 27th, this year's second edition of the event was held at Seoul's Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from the 14th to the 18th.
Visitor numbers this year rose 17% from last year. Super Early Bird tickets sold last August sold out in a day.
Interest in domestic design brands was also evident online. From the 14th to the 25th, an online feature titled 'Monthly Yigu Home' showcased key products from participating brands. During this period, transaction value for the brands involved rose 181% year-on-year.
At least 70% of the brands participating in the event do not operate stores, and the event helped them expand their offline touchpoints.
A 29CM representative said, "This year's event was designed to help people discover and experience the value of design closely connected to our daily lives. We will continue to seek out domestic brands with a design identity."
