[Financial News] Three female customers ate about 40,000 won worth of food at a pork cutlet restaurant in Seoul and left without paying. They left while another customer was paying, and the incident was captured on CCTV.
According to JTBC’s “Scandal Supervisor” on the 23rd, the owner of a pork cutlet restaurant in Jongno District, Seoul, said the bill had not been paid and disclosed what happened.
According to the owner, three women visited the restaurant at around noon on the 20th and had a meal. After finishing all their food, they left without paying while another customer was paying.
The released CCTV footage shows the women finishing their meal, getting up, passing in front of the owner as the owner was handling a payment, and heading for the exit. The owner said they remembered the women because the owner had guided them to comfortable seats at the time.
Customers order food at the restaurant using QR codes. The owner said some customers mistakenly think that ordering by QR code also completes payment automatically, and that the women may have made the same mistake.
However, it has not been confirmed whether the women failed to pay because they misunderstood the payment process. The owner said that about 40,000 won for the meal remained unpaid even after the women left the restaurant.
