[Financial News] Hana Securities recorded the highest returns among securities firms for non-principal-guaranteed defined contribution (DC) retirement pension products over five-, seven- and 10-year periods, as of the third quarter this year.
According to Hana Securities on the 26th, the annual average returns for DC non-principal-guaranteed products, as of the end of the third quarter this year and disclosed on the Financial Supervisory Service’s Integrated Pension Portal, were 8.03% over five years, 8.88% over seven years and 7.21% over 10 years. The company ranked first in the securities industry across all three periods.
Short-term performance was also strong. DC non-principal-guaranteed products posted annual returns of 18.72% over one year and 16.32% over three years. The one-year return for individual retirement pensions (IRPs) was also 18.50% per year, the highest among the 10 leading securities firms.
Hana Securities is strengthening both in-person consultations and remote wealth management services to improve the performance of its retirement pension plans. At its branches, “Pension Doctor,” a private banker (PB) specializing in pensions, provides one-on-one consultations tailored to each customer’s investment profile and asset situation. For customers using remote services, the Pension Asset Management Center offers remote consultations and portfolio adjustment services.
The company is also expanding its digital pension management features. It recently enhanced the “AI Pension Pro” feature, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based personalized service, on its newly introduced mobile trading system (MTS), “Hana Securities V,” making it easier for customers to manage their pension assets.
Retirement pension assets are also growing. Since the beginning of this year, Hana Securities’ DC assets have increased by 36.5%, and its IRP assets by 38.8%. In the annual evaluation of retirement pension providers conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the company has ranked among the top 10% of providers for returns on non-principal-guaranteed products for four consecutive years.
Kim Seung-gyun, head of Hana Securities’ Pension Business Division, said, “As the share of investment products such as ETFs in DC and IRP grows and market volatility increases, the asset management capabilities of retirement pension providers are becoming even more important,” adding, “We will support diversified investment centered on high-quality assets so that investments are not concentrated in certain products, and strengthen consultations tailored to individual customers to improve long-term returns.”
Meanwhile, Hana Securities is currently running an “IRP New Account and Net Increase Event” and plans to hold a separate event for new DC enrollees starting next month.
