[Financial News] Mirae Asset Securities said on the 26th that it had successfully concluded the 10th Artificial Intelligence (AI) Festival, which it co-hosted with NAVER Cloud. The AI Festival was created to identify innovative ideas combining finance and AI, and to develop talent who will lead the future financial industry.
A total of 1,052 teams applied to participate in this year’s competition, more than double last year's 443 teams. The competition focused on developing AI agents in three areas: financial products, pensions, and disclosures. Participants built AI agents themselves using NAVER Cloud’s hyperscale large language model (LLM), HyperCLOVA X, and cloud infrastructure. After quantitative and qualitative evaluations, two teams from each category advanced to the final round, for a total of six teams. The finalists worked with AI experts from Mirae Asset Securities to refine their ideas and improve their AI agents.
At the final round held at Mirae Asset Center One in Seoul on the 19th, each team gave a 20-minute presentation and demonstration of its proposal, then answered questions from the judging panel. Those attending included Mirae Asset Securities Vice Chairman Kim Mi-seob, IT Division Vice President Park Hong-keun, and Head of the Tech & AI Division Ju Se-min, as well as NAVER Cloud CTO Kwak Yong-jae, Managing Director of Financial Business Kang Jeong-ho, and Managing Director of Technical Content Jeong Nak-su.
The grand prize went to the Dahaem team, which presented an agent system that systematically structures disclosure data and uses it to analyze user questions and make recommendations.
The Dahaem team designed a harness structure to manage AI models’ workflows, improving the quality of its outputs. It was also praised for enhancing the system’s reliability by strengthening guardrails and validation steps to prevent inappropriate or inaccurate responses. The grand-prize-winning team will receive prize money and an opportunity to take part in an internship program linked to recruitment at Mirae Asset Securities.
Mirae Asset Securities Vice Chairman Kim Mi-seob said, “This competition, where you demonstrated your abilities before a judging panel made up of top experts in the financial sector, will certainly be a valuable experience for those of you starting your careers in finance,” adding, “Your ideas could make a significant contribution to the development of the future financial industry.”
