According to ChildFund Korea on the 26th, it held the '2026 Friendship Day' with Skechers Korea on the 24th at Wondang Middle School in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province. A total of 189 elementary school students who use social welfare facilities and institutions in the Seoul metropolitan area, along with Skechers Korea employees, took part.
The event was organized to promote children's physical and emotional health. Participants formed teams and competed together in events including rolling a giant ball, playing the gourd-bursting game, tug-of-war, and a mission race.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 engage in an average of at least 60 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity per day over the course of a week.
Skechers brand ambassadors and actors Park Eun-bin and Yoo Ji-tae also attended that day to cheer on the children and take commemorative photos with them.
"It was a meaningful time when the children and our employees ran together, cheered each other on, and came together as one," said Kang Byeong-jon, head of Skechers Korea. "Skechers will continue to support the healthy and vibrant growth of children."
Sin Jeong-won, head of ChildFund Korea's Social Contribution Partnerships Division, said, "ChildFund Korea will continue to provide various forms of support so that every child can gain a wide range of experiences through sports and play."
