[Financial News] Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) explored ways to innovate its operations using future technologies, including quantum computing and generative artificial intelligence (AI).
According to industry sources on the 26th, KOTEC held its “2026 Innovation Strategy Training” on the 22nd and 23rd at venues including dcamp Mapo in Mapo-gu, Seoul, with 27 employees, including innovation leaders and youth directors, taking part.
KOTEC has appointed innovation leaders at branches nationwide to promote field-oriented management innovation, and has operated a Youth Board of Directors since 2023 to identify ideas from younger generations and encourage communication between generations.
The training included visits to innovative companies, tours of eco-friendly technology exhibitions, special lectures on innovation, and open discussions. On the first day, participants visited quantum technology company SDT, where they heard about the principles of quantum computing and examples of its industrial applications, and got a firsthand look at a quantum computer. They then visited the “2026 Korea ESG Eco-Friendly Expo” at COEX to explore trends in innovative technologies related to carbon neutrality and the green transition.
On the second day, special lectures were held on self-leadership and workplace innovation using generative AI. Participants discussed ideas that could be applied to improving work practices and innovating organizational culture through open discussion.
KOTEC Director Kim Hyun said, “This training provided an opportunity for innovation leaders and youth directors to experience future technologies firsthand and think together about changes in organizational culture and work practices,” adding, “We will continue to respond proactively to new technologies and changes in the environment, and spread a culture of innovation throughout the organization to bring about changes that the public can feel.”
