[Financial News] Everland’s official YouTube channel has surpassed 2 million subscribers. It is a first for the travel and leisure industry, and it is an extremely rare achievement for a YouTube channel operated by a domestic company to surpass 2 million subscribers.
Samsung C&T Resort Group announced on the 26th that the number of subscribers to Everland’s official YouTube channel, which it has operated since 2019, has surpassed 2 million. The unusual milestone comes three years and three months after the channel earned the YouTube Gold Play Button in July 2023.
About 3,600 videos have been uploaded to Everland’s YouTube channel. They have amassed approximately 830 million views. Recently, the channel has expanded its short-form content to strengthen engagement with customers in their teens and 20s, establishing itself as a digital playground in everyday life.
The most popular content on Everland’s YouTube channel is undoubtedly videos featuring the panda family.
From Fu Bao to Rui Bao and Hui Bao, and most recently the newborn Shu Bao, videos capturing the baby pandas’ births and growth, as well as their interactions with their keepers, are bringing warm, moving moments to fans at home and abroad.
The channel continues to roll out participatory projects on social media, such as comment contests to name baby pandas and recruitment drives for advance trial groups for new content, while expanding interactive engagement that puts subscribers at the center.
Recently, collaborative content with K-pop artists has also increased, further accelerating the channel’s popularity.
This summer, during Caribbean Bay’s Water Music Pool Party, top girl groups and artists including IVE, fromis_9 and RESCENE successively posted shout-out videos for the performances on YouTube, capturing the attention of fans at home and abroad.
Recently, a cinematic-worldview video series featuring San of ATEEZ transforming into a “zombie idol” was released in installments on YouTube, Instagram and other platforms, making waves with a cumulative 20 million views across social media. A Samsung C&T Resort Group representative explained, “We believe the popularity stems from our active engagement with customers through informative and entertaining videos about the diverse experiences available at Everland—from the panda family, beloved by people across the country, to animals and plants, performances, attractions and cast members.”
To celebrate its YouTube channel surpassing 2 million subscribers, Everland is holding a thank-you event open to everyone.
Visit Everland’s YouTube channel by the 1st of next month and leave a congratulatory comment on the event video. One hundred people will be selected, and each will receive 20,000 Som points, which can be used like cash at Everland.
