[Financial News] Bithumb held an in-house contest for employees to share their experiences using artificial intelligence (AI), gathering 107 ideas that could help improve work efficiency and reduce costs.
According to the virtual asset industry on the 26th, Bithumb has wrapped up its “Got AI Tips? -Thumb?” contest, held from August 17 to 31. A total of 110 employees took part, and 13 of the 107 entries were selected as winners after document and presentation evaluations.
The top prize, first place, went to Go Ju-ho, a team leader in the IT division. Go presented a system that allows users to check usage and cache performance for the AI development tool Claude Code in real time. The system received high marks for being designed to help users select suitable AI models based on the nature of their work and manage costs efficiently.
Second place went to Eom Seong-ryeol, a manager in the IT division, who developed a platform that uses AI to handle repetitive response procedures when service disruptions occur. Five entries took third place, focusing on practical work automation, including detecting data-leak risks, validating trading strategies, and analyzing the impact of blockchain upgrades.
The prizes were set at 10 million won for first place, 5 million won for second place, and 3 million won for each third-place entry. A Bithumb representative said, “With this contest as a starting point, we will expand related infrastructure so that AI use can spread throughout the organization and support employees’ work innovation.”
Meanwhile, Bithumb is expanding its use of AI not only in internal operations but also in its virtual asset trading services. On the 20th, it announced that cumulative users of its integrated AI investment information service, Bithumb AI, had surpassed 500,000 just 47 days after launch. The service provides AI-based asset analysis and market information, and averages about 80,000 visitors a day.
