\ \ [Financial News] An experiential event was held to show regular donors who help disaster-affected neighbors how relief supplies are stored and dispatched.
On the 26th, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association said that the “2026 Safety Partner Day” was held on the 24th at the Disaster Relief Logistics Center in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. This was the first time it had held an event at the center to welcome regular donors.
The event was organized to help donors who find it difficult to visit disaster-relief sites or the association in person better understand its relief work. Around 80 people attended, including regular donors and their families from across the country—from the Seoul metropolitan area to Busan and Sejong—as well as Hope Bridge representatives. Most attendees were family groups of donors accompanied by elementary-school-aged children.
Participants toured the logistics center and learned about the system for storing and dispatching relief supplies that are urgently provided to disaster victims. The Paju center is a hub that keeps various relief kits and supplies needed for relief operations in the Gyeongin and Gangwon regions in stock and manages them on an ongoing basis.
They then took part in disaster safety training to learn how to respond to emergencies. Taking on the role of a one-day “Hope Researcher,” they considered relief measures needed in the field and shared ideas. They also held a donor talk session.
Donor A, who attended the event, said, “I had only been making my monthly donations, but after touring the logistics center in person, I could see how my donations were being used.” A added, “Seeing the effort to actively show donors how their contributions are used and what the work looks like on the ground, and to communicate with them, helped me understand the purpose of giving more clearly.”
Hope Bridge Secretary-General Shin Hoon emphasized the role of regular donors who have consistently helped neighbors affected by disasters, saying, “It is very meaningful to be able to communicate with our donors at the Paju logistics center and build a genuine partnership.”
