[Financial News] The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety worked with university students to develop design proposals to improve the energy performance of existing buildings and ideas for AI-based green remodeling services.
The Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety said on the 26th that it had held the university student hackathon for the 6th Green Remodeling Challenge from the 24th to the 25th at Bloomvista Hotel & Conference in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province.
The competition, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and organized by the Korea Authority of Land & Infrastructure Safety, featured two categories: “Energy and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Design” and “AI Platform Ideas.” University teams that passed the preliminary round presented their final results after a night and two days of expert mentoring and team assignments.
Teams in the design category used design documents for actual buildings to propose ways to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In the AI platform ideas category, participants developed concepts submitted in the preliminary round and proposed green remodeling services incorporating AI technology.
The winners are scheduled to be announced in November on the “Green Remodeling Challenge” page of the Green Remodeling Creation Center website.
