[Financial News] The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Federation of the Korea Management Innovation Small and Medium Enterprises Association (MAINBIZ Association) (Chairman Park Jong-heon, CEO of Geummyeong Co., Ltd.) announced on the 26th that it successfully held the '2026 MAINBIZ Association Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Federation Chairman's Cup and Branch Friendship Golf Tournament' at Haeundae Country Club in Gijang-gun, Busan on the 22nd.
This event was organized to promote friendship and harmony among member companies in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions, and to revitalize communication and exchange between the federation and its branches.
72 members participated in the competition on this day in 18 teams, engaging in friendly competition and strengthening their friendship in the clear autumn weather.
The competition was conducted using the Shinperio format, and after the event, a meaningful time was spent strengthening bonds among member companies through a dinner, awards ceremony, and performances promoting harmony.
Individual awards were presented in various categories, including winners, runners-up, and medalists, as well as the Most Bogeys, Most Pars, Nearest to the Pin, and Longest Drive awards. Along with awards for men and women, new Fashionista and Photo awards were introduced to provide participants with a unique experience.
In addition, the branches with the most participants were selected for first, second, and third place to encourage active participation and unity among the branches.
The honor of winning the competition went to Kang Gyeong-seok, CEO of Team I-One Co., Ltd. in Geoje (Chairman of the Tongyeong Branch of the MAINBIZ Association).
■ 'Indomitable Spirit' Cake Cutting... Reinforcing Entrepreneurs' Spirit of Challenge and Commitment to Harmony and Mutual Growth
At the second part of the dinner event, a commemorative rice cake cutting performance inscribed with the phrase "Indomitable Spirit" was held, adding significance to the event.
'Baekjeolbulgul' means not giving up even after being defeated a hundred times. It embodies the strong will of small and medium-sized business owners who overcome crises through ceaseless innovation and challenges, even amidst difficult economic conditions and a rapidly changing business environment.
This rice cake cutting ceremony went beyond a simple celebratory event and symbolized the joint commitment of the MAINBIZ Association, the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Federation, and each branch to unite as one, overcome any difficulties together, and achieve sustainable growth and development.
The attendees reflected on the spirit of 'indomitable spirit,' wished for harmony and friendship among member companies, and pledged to join forces to strengthen corporate competitiveness through management innovation and contribute to the development of the local economy.
■ From Friendly Golf Tournament to Social Contribution... Raising 5 Million Won in Funds for Charity
This event held added significance in that it went beyond friendship and harmony among members to lead to sharing for the local community.
The 3 million won hole-in-one prize money sponsored by Park Jong-heon, Chairman of the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Federation, was not paid out as no one achieved a hole-in-one in the tournament. In addition, Kim Myung-jin, Chairman of the MAINBIZ Association, added 2 million won in sponsorship, bringing the total to 5 million won, which will be used for community contribution activities.
This decision holds significant meaning in that it demonstrates the commitment of business leaders to mutual growth and social responsibility by returning funds raised through the friendly golf tournament to the local community.
The Buulgyeong Federation has designated this coming November as the 'Month of Social Contribution' and plans to carry out various sharing activities tailored to the characteristics and conditions of each region together with 13 member branches in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions.
The federation also plans to carry out social contribution activities that provide practical assistance to vulnerable groups in the local community, such as coal briquette distribution, in cooperation with the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund.
Through this, the plan is to spread the value of cooperation and solidarity among member companies to the local community and to foster a sustainable sharing culture where corporate growth and the realization of social value go hand in hand.
■ Commitment to Expanding Exchange Among Member Companies and Practicing Mutual Prosperity with the Local Community
Park Jong-heon, Chairman of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Federation, said, "This event served as a venue for harmony where friendship among member companies was strengthened and the Federation and each branch communicated and cooperated more closely," adding, "It is especially meaningful that the harmony among members led to sharing for the local community."
He went on to emphasize, "With an indomitable spirit, we will not yield to any difficulties and will continue ceaseless management innovation and challenges to build an association where member companies and the local community grow together."
Chairman Park expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply thank everyone who has provided generous support and sponsorship in every way to ensure the successful hosting of this tournament."
Kim Myung-jin, President of the MAINBIZ Association, encouraged active participation from members and harmony within the Bu-Ul-Gyeong Federation. He urged them to strengthen the association's solidarity based on communication and cooperation among member companies and to join forces for the sustainable growth of SMEs and the development of the local community.
The MAINBIZ Association is an economic organization that supports the enhancement of competitiveness and sustainable growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through the discovery and nurturing of management innovation-type SMEs (Main-Biz), the strengthening of management innovation capabilities, and the establishment of networks and active exchange among member companies.
The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Federation is currently strengthening information exchange and cooperation networks among member companies centered around 13 branches, and is taking the lead in revitalizing the local economy and realizing corporate social value through various exchange events and social contribution activities.
The federation is also steadily proceeding with preparations for the new establishment of the Haeundae and Gimhae Central branches. Through this, the federation plans to further expand the regional member network and significantly strengthen the foundation for exchange and cooperation among small and medium-sized enterprises.
