According to Samsung C&T Corporation on the 26th, the Yongho District 1 reconstruction association passed a motion at its general meeting on the 25th to make Samsung C&T the final choice as contractor. The project covers the area around 62 Yongho-dong, Seongsan District, Changwon City, South Gyeongsang Province, and will comprise three basement levels, up to 46 floors above ground, eight buildings, 1,315 homes and neighborhood commercial facilities. The total construction cost is approximately 738.1 billion won.
Yongho District 1, the project site, is in a prime location in an area of Changwon where the city’s top school district—including Yongnam Elementary School, Bansong Middle School and Changwon Jungang High School—as well as major administrative institutions such as the South Gyeongsang Provincial Government and Changwon City Hall, large department stores and supermarkets are concentrated. Yongji Lake Park lies adjacent to the south side of the complex, providing excellent views and a pleasant residential environment.
Samsung C&T proposed ‘Raemian Clier (RAEMIAN CLIER)’ as the new name for the complex. A combination of ‘Climax,’ meaning the highest point, and ‘Era,’ meaning a new age, the name reflects the company’s resolve to set a new standard for residential culture in Changwon.
The exterior design evokes a massive waterfall cascading against the backdrop of Yongji Lake. A sculpture will be placed at the top of the 148-meter-tall landmark tower to maximize its significance as a symbol of the area. In particular, the arrangement and spacing of the residential buildings have been adjusted to increase the number of homes with views of Yongji Lake from 584 to 955, with the design ensuring that every association member can enjoy an unobstructed, south-facing view of the lake.
The development will also feature specialized facilities and community amenities. Ample community space will be provided for 55 programs, including a multipurpose gym and culture classroom. In particular, a sky community with a sky lounge, guesthouse and terraces will be created on the 46th floor of the landmark tower (148 meters high), offering panoramic views.
The complex will also feature a massive central plaza covering about 2.6 times the area of the main stadium at Changwon Sports Complex, along with pleasant, restorative landscaping that includes 14 themed gardens and a 2.4-kilometer walking path. Homes will have high 2.5-meter ceilings, three-sided open floor plans and a food-waste transport system. A range of advanced residential systems will also be introduced, including an artificial intelligence (AI)-based parking management system, the next-generation home platform Homnic and Grade 1 inter-floor noise reduction technology.
Im Cheol-jin, head of Samsung C&T’s Housing Sales Division, said, “Taking into account Yongho District 1’s excellent location and natural environment, we proposed a distinctive design,” adding, “We will bring together all of Samsung C&T’s design, technology and quality capabilities to complete it as Changwon’s premier landmark.”
