[Financial News] Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) has begun collaborating on ethical management with public institutions that operate overseas networks, and has conducted integrity training and heard concerns from stakeholders in the regional content industry.
Ethical Management Partnership with Five Public Institutions Operating Overseas Networks
KOCCA said it signed the “Integrity and Ethical Management Agreement for Public Institutions Operating Overseas Networks” with five public institutions—the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), and Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-SURE)—on the 26th, and held its first working-level consultation meeting on the 23rd at the Korea Tourism Organization’s Seoul Center.
The agreement was established to enable a joint response to ethical risks, including conflicts of interest and human rights violations, in overseas networks where headquarters-centered internal controls are relatively difficult to implement.
The six institutions agreed at the working-level consultation meeting to share updates on their ethical management activities and jointly produce a declaration on ethical management for overseas networks and a practical checklist. They are also considering jointly pursuing campaigns to prevent conflicts of interest that take local conditions into account.
KOCCA President Kim Yun-ji said, “I hope this will provide an opportunity for us to share each institution’s experience and best practices, develop concrete measures that can be put into practice on the ground, and jointly raise the standard of integrity and ethical management across our overseas networks.”
KOCCA Visits Regional Content Sites to Promote Integrity and Strengthen Engagement
Earlier, on the 21st, KOCCA held an integrity lecture and carried out activities by the “K-Content Field Support Team” for about 240 representatives of content-related organizations from 19 regions across the country, at the “2026 Joint Workshop to Strengthen the Regional Content Industry Network.”
In the lecture, Standing Auditor Han Seung-hun highlighted potential conflicts of interest and improper work-related demands in regional content projects, and emphasized the principles of fairness and mutual respect.
The Field Support Team then heard about difficulties related to regional content infrastructure and the operation of support programs, as well as suggestions for institutional improvements. KOCCA plans to share the feedback it received with relevant departments and review ways to incorporate it into program operations and institutional improvements.
Standing Auditor Han said, “We will work together to prevent conflicts of interest and help foster a culture of mutual respect throughout the regional content industry.”
