[Financial News] Singer Younha has ended her exclusive contract with her agency, C9 Entertainment, over unpaid settlement payments.
Younha’s legal representative, ILLO Law Firm, said on the 26th, “Younha’s side sought corrective action over the prolonged failure to pay settlement amounts, but the request was not acted upon. It therefore notified the agency in September 2026 that it was terminating the exclusive contract.”
According to Younha’s side, C9 Entertainment also acknowledged in an official letter that the termination of the exclusive contract took effect on September 14.
Younha’s side has filed a lawsuit seeking payment of the unpaid settlement amounts and plans to handle the remaining matters calmly in accordance with procedures prescribed by law.
Younha’s side urged, “The other artists and employees affiliated with C9 Entertainment are unrelated to this matter, and we ask that you refrain from speculative reporting.”
Meanwhile, Younha had been with the agency for 14 years since first signing an exclusive contract in 2012. C9 Entertainment (registered as C9 ENT) is an entertainment agency involved in singer management and album production, among other activities. It operated as a subsidiary of CI Entertainment before absorbing its parent company in 2025.
