【Hanoi, Vietnam = Correspondent Kim Joon-seok】Hanwha Life Vietnam has made the list of the “2026 Top 50 Profitable Companies in Vietnam,” announced by Vietnamese evaluation agency Vietnam Report, for the first time, while also being named one of Vietnam’s Top 500 Profitable Companies (PROFIT500) for the seventh consecutive year.
According to local media reports on the 26th, Hanwha Life Vietnam received awards in both categories at the “2026 PROFIT500” announcement ceremony hosted by Vietnam Report in Hanoi on the 22nd.
The PROFIT500 evaluation is conducted rigorously based on three key pillars: market position and business scale; operational efficiency and financial management capabilities; and innovation capabilities through digital transformation and sustainable development (ESG).
Hanwha Life Vietnam’s inclusion in both categories is seen as renewed recognition in the Vietnamese market of its profit-generating capabilities, strong financial health and brand credibility, which it has demonstrated over the past several years.
Hanwha Life Vietnam has continued its growth trajectory since 2023, with total assets in the first half of this year increasing 10% from the same period last year to nearly VND 24 trillion (approximately KRW 1.2275 trillion).
In the first half of the year, Hanwha Life Vietnam recorded financial income of at least VND 825 billion (approximately KRW 42.1 billion), up 26% from the same period last year, while pre-tax profit surged 67% to about VND 550 billion (approximately KRW 28.1 billion). It also demonstrated sound financial stability by maintaining a solvency ratio of 461%, well above the statutory requirement. During the same period, the total amount it paid to customers in insurance benefits and compensation exceeded VND 794 billion (approximately KRW 40.6 billion).
Hanwha Life Vietnam is also expanding its adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and the digitization of insurance processes. For example, it operates H-Planner, an app that supports insurance planners in their work, and has made it possible to automate policy issuance in about 30 minutes for insurance applications that meet the requirements. It is also focused on strengthening its sustainable management framework, hosting around 20 events from January to September this year as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs to support vulnerable groups across Vietnam.
