[Financial News] KakaoBank is launching a personalized book recommendation service powered by artificial intelligence (AI) in partnership with reading platform Flybook.
According to sources in the financial industry on the 26th, KakaoBank will launch a partnership service with Flybook called “Building Reading Habits Together.”
KakaoBank will provide a link to the service within its app, while Flybook will handle its overall operations. Flybook is a platform offering a comprehensive range of reading-related services, including book recommendations, purchases and rentals.
“Building Reading Habits Together” is a service that uses AI technology to recommend books tailored to each user and support regular reading. Users can link to and use the service from the “Benefits” tab in the KakaoBank app.
Customers can buy or rent print books recommended by “AI Reading Mate.” One feature is that once a customer finishes a book, AI recommends a new book for them to read next. Users can set a target date for finishing a book and a daily reading goal, helping them develop a lasting reading habit. The service also lets users share their reading experiences with friends or family, or join a reading community to connect with other users.
KakaoBank said, “With the ‘Text Hip’ trend—where reading is seen as a hip and cool cultural activity—gaining ground, we launched this partnership service to help people enjoy reading more easily and in a more fun way.” It added, “We will continue to expand our partnerships so that a variety of pleasures and benefits in our customers’ everyday lives can be connected through KakaoBank.”
