[Financial News] Woongjin ThinkBig Co., Ltd. is joining forces with a regional university to launch practical artificial intelligence (AI) training for unemployed young people. The move expands its business, which has focused on elementary and middle school education, into youth employment support and practical industry training. Woongjin ThinkBig Co., Ltd. said on the 26th that it had joined the “2026 Youth Leap Talent Development Boot Camp” with Chosun College of Science and Technology and begun manufacturing AI training for young people.
The initiative is a government-funded program led by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT). It is a short-term intensive course designed to help unemployed young people aged 19 to 34 become ready to work immediately in advanced industries. Chosun College of Science and Technology, selected to run the program this year, is offering “Manufacturing AI Factory” training that applies AI technology to key regional industries such as semiconductors and mobility.
Drawing on its experience in planning and running AI education, Woongjin ThinkBig Co., Ltd. will provide foundational and common-core instruction in manufacturing AI as part of the course. The company aims to improve trainees’ job prospects by providing customized practical training and access to a network of on-site industry professionals.
The two organizations plan to further strengthen their system for training work-ready talent needed by businesses by combining the university’s educational facilities with Woongjin ThinkBig Co., Ltd.’s content-planning capabilities.
Kim Il-gyeong, head of the DGP Division at Woongjin ThinkBig Co., Ltd., said, “The importance of practical AI skills is growing in a range of industrial settings, including manufacturing. We will draw on our company’s educational capabilities to help local young people find jobs and do our part to develop the AI talent industry needs.”
