[Financial News] Chunjae Education has teamed up with practicing elementary school teachers to hold a hands-on training program aimed at improving teachers’ ability to create lesson materials using artificial intelligence (AI).
Chunjae Education said on the 26th that T-Selpa, its teaching and learning support service, held a “Customized AI Video Production One-Day Class” for teachers on the 24th at Chunjae Textbook’s AP Tower in Geumcheon District, Seoul.
The event was organized in response to a recent surge of interest in AI-based lesson materials in classrooms. It focused on helping teachers go beyond simply learning how to use software and instead plan and create video content tailored to their lesson objectives.
In particular, teachers from the AI Convergence Education Research Group (Quokka), made up of practicing teachers, served as instructors and shared their firsthand experience and expertise from the classroom.
Kim Haetsal, a teacher at Jongdeok Elementary School who led the first session, explained how to turn teachers’ lesson ideas into plans that AI can understand. Next, Kim Yeram, a teacher at Bucheonbuk Elementary School, led a hands-on session in which teachers used Vrew, a video-editing program, to create their own lesson videos.
Chunjae Education provided participating teachers with three-month access to an editing program so they could continue making videos with AI after the training.
A Chunjae Education official said, “We hope this will give teachers an opportunity to create content themselves using AI tools for their lesson objectives,” adding, “We will continue to introduce tailored programs that reflect the voices of educators in the field and help teachers strengthen their teaching expertise.”
