Samsung C&T’s Resort Division said on the 26th that Everland’s official YouTube channel had become the first in the travel and leisure industry to surpass 2 million subscribers.
Everland, which began ramping up its digital engagement through YouTube in 2019, reached 1 million subscribers in July 2023 and surpassed 2 million on the 19th, three years and three months after receiving the YouTube Gold Play Button.
The channel features around 3,600 videos showcasing Everland’s diverse offerings, including its panda family, plants and animals, performances, rides, and cast members (employees). The videos have accumulated approximately 830 million views.
Videos capturing the growth of the panda family—including Fu Bao, Rui Bao, and Hui Bao—and their interactions with their keepers have drawn enthusiastic responses from fans at home and abroad. Content created in collaboration with K-pop artists such as IVE and fromis_9 has also been popular. Recently, videos related to “Blood City,” a horror-themed zone at the fall festival featuring San of ATEEZ, have garnered a cumulative 20 million views on social media.
Everland has recently been expanding its short-form video content to strengthen engagement with users in their teens and twenties. It has also been rolling out visitor information content introducing festivals, food, merchandise, and more.
Everland is also holding a thank-you event to celebrate surpassing 2 million subscribers. Those who leave congratulatory comments on the event video on Everland’s YouTube channel by the first of next month will be entered in a draw, with 100 winners receiving Som Points worth 20,000 won, which can be used like cash at Everland.
