[Financial News] Hankook & Company Group has shared ways to use artificial intelligence (AI) services for work with employees through an in-house communications program. The group aims to spread a culture of employee-led work improvement throughout the organization by sharing practical know-how on using AI.
Hankook & Company Group said on the 26th that it held its October Knowledge Sharing Forum on the 23rd at Technoplex, its headquarters in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province. An official from the group’s AX Planning Team explained the features and differences of ChatHK 2.1, which the group uses, and Gemini Enterprise, and shared practical tips for using them.
The official also demonstrated key features, including research and document analysis, as well as creating and sharing dashboards and AI agents. The group also provided guidance on how to choose a service based on work objectives and the collaborative environment.
ChatHK 2.1 is the successor to ChatHK, a conversational AI service developed in-house by the group in 2024 for employees only. It was made available to group employees this month. In addition to the existing service’s functions for summarizing information, writing documents, processing data and running code, it supports work with simple vibe-coding and sharing features.
Users can choose a generative AI model suited to their work and use files, images, webpages and other materials as references. The service also offers ChatNest, which lets users set up simple prompts in advance or create and share their own AI tools that answer based on documents.
The group is also expanding the work environment in which employees and AI agents work together by introducing Gemini Enterprise, Google Cloud’s enterprise AI platform.
Recently, under its “AI In Motion” vision, Hankook & Company Group has been increasing its adoption of AI services for work and building employees’ capabilities in using them. The group has created AI Literacy training content for employees and held hands-on training in which they develop AI tools for work themselves.
The Knowledge Sharing Forum was launched in August 2023, based on the group’s distinctive corporate culture, Proactive Culture, which Chairman Cho Hyun-bum has long championed. Once a month, employees voluntarily share their work experiences, professional expertise, hobbies and interests during a 30-minute lunchtime session.
A Hankook & Company Group representative said, “Topics covered so far have included the competitiveness of the battery business, resource circulation practices, brand experience, employment of people with disabilities and an inclusive organizational culture,” adding, “Through the forum, we continue to foster horizontal communication and self-directed learning.”
