[Financial News] KHNP’s Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters said on the 26th that it had donated 28 million won to ChildFund Korea on the 23rd for its “Power of Busan” initiative, which supports children facing economic and social crises.
The Power of Busan initiative, newly launched by Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, is a tailored social contribution program that identifies children in crisis in the Busan area and provides practical assistance suited to the circumstances of each child and family.
The program will support around 10 children in crisis aged 18 or younger. Support will be provided at varying levels, based on each child’s circumstances and needs, for living expenses, medical costs, education costs, housing costs, and psychological and emotional support.
Ban Byeong-hun, head of Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, “I hope this project will bring hope to children facing difficult circumstances and serve as a stepping stone toward a better tomorrow,” adding, “We will continue our social contribution activities to address gaps in the welfare system.”
Over the past 10 years, Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters has worked with ChildFund Korea’s Busan Regional Headquarters on Happy Up, a psychological treatment support program for children in crisis, donating a total of 380 million won. It has also continued various social contribution activities to promote the healthy growth and well-being of local children.
