Now in its ninth edition, the exhibition aims to spread a culture of maritime safety and boost the maritime mobility and safety industries. This year, in conjunction with events commemorating “2026 World Maritime Day” and “Korea Maritime Week,” it will introduce advanced maritime technologies to industry stakeholders from Korea and abroad and provide opportunities for exchange and cooperation.
The exhibition will comprise four halls: the Autonomous Navigation and Unmanned Mobility Technology Hall, the Eco-friendly Mobility and Carbon Neutrality Hall, the Advanced Maritime Safety and AI Disaster Response Hall, and the B2B Business Hall.
The Autonomous Navigation and Unmanned Mobility Technology Hall will feature a navigation simulator experience, information on research into autonomous vessels, maritime cybersecurity technologies, and surface drones for locating people. The Eco-friendly Mobility and Carbon Neutrality Hall will showcase low-carbon vessels, eco-friendly hydrogen vessel technologies, and fuel cells for ships.
The Advanced Maritime Safety and AI Disaster Response Hall will cover maritime weather information, the “Anjeonhae” mobile app service, maritime communications equipment, Internet of Things (IoT) network systems, and ship inspections. Visitors to the B2B Business Hall can explore maritime observation data services, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
Export consultations and technology and product presentations will also be held to help participating companies develop sales channels. The events will connect domestic and international buyers with participating companies, provide opportunities for export consultations and technology and product introductions, and help them explore new business and cooperation opportunities.
Busan North Port Waterfront Park, which made headlines when the shark “Bukangi” appeared, will host a range of maritime safety activities for citizens and families, including life jacket try-ons, CPR lessons, and shipboard VR experiences. The city plans to provide event participants with various souvenirs and prizes, including shark keychains and coffee coupons.
Oh Seok-geun, the city’s vice mayor for economic affairs, said, “This expo is a meaningful occasion for sharing advanced maritime technologies and for maritime industry stakeholders from Korea and abroad to find new opportunities for cooperation. I hope citizens will also take part in the various hands-on programs and appreciate the importance of maritime safety in everyday life.”
