[Financial News] Distinctive community facilities tailored to individual complexes are becoming more common in the housing presale market. Beyond simply providing living space, they are seen as a way to improve homebuyers’ quality of life and overall satisfaction with their homes. More new complexes in regional areas are adopting them as well.
On the 26th, according to Gallup Korea Research Institute’s “2026 Real Estate Trends,” 34% of respondents named “a range of community facilities” as a preferred specialized housing feature, making it the most popular choice. This marks the second consecutive year it has ranked first, following 2025.
The popularity of complexes with distinctive community facilities is borne out by the numbers.
According to the Korea Real Estate Board’s Cheongyak Home, Hillstate Pyeonggeo Central, supplied in the Pyeonggeo-dong area of Jinju City, South Gyeongsang Province, this April, received 3,753 applications for 184 units in the first-priority application round, recording an average competition ratio of 20.4 to 1. The complex features a sky lounge and a moms’ café, among other amenities. That same month, Metro City Jasan Desian, supplied in the Jasan-dong area of Masanhappo-gu, Changwon City, South Gyeongsang Province, recorded an average competition ratio of 15.19 to 1 in the first-priority application round. The complex has a total of 14 community facilities, including a private cinema and a music studio.
This year, new complexes with a range of community facilities are also drawing attention.
