[Financial News]  The Akmer Dongtan development, being built in Dongtan 1 New Town in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, will begin its housing application schedule on the 26th, starting with special-supply applications.
According to real estate industry sources on the 26th, Akmer Dongtan will accept special-supply applications that day, followed by first-priority applications on the 27th and second-priority applications on the 28th.
First-priority applications are open to household heads residing in Hwaseong Special City, Seoul, Gyeonggi Province or Incheon as of the date of the resident recruitment notice. Applicants must have held a housing subscription account for at least 24 months and meet the required deposit thresholds for their region and unit size.
However, applicants who have won a housing allocation within the past five years or are subject to restrictions on winning again, as well as those belonging to households that own two or more homes, are excluded.
The contract deposit is 10% of the sale price and can be paid in two installments. The first installment ranges from 10 million to 30 million won, depending on the unit type. The mandatory owner-occupancy requirement does not apply to original contract holders.
Akmer Dongtan will be built across the area around Lots 95 and 99 in Bansong-dong, Dongtan District, Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province. It will comprise seven buildings, with seven basement levels and up to 49 floors above ground, and a total of 1,808 households.
Akmer Dongtan 95 consists of three buildings with 812 households, with exclusive areas ranging from 84 to 188 square meters, while Akmer Dongtan 99 comprises four buildings with 996 households, with exclusive areas ranging from 84 to 162 square meters.
All units will have 2.5-meter ceilings and individual basement storage units. For buyers who opt to extend their balconies, 17 specialized items across five categories—including kitchens, bathrooms, windows and finishing materials—are to be provided free of charge.
The kitchens will feature furniture by Italy’s Cucine Lube, ITALY HOME sinks and faucets by Germany’s Hansgrohe. Bathrooms will have Scarabeo washbasins and American Standard sanitaryware. Infinity ceramic tiles, Roncell windows by LX Hausys and Double Low-E glass by KCC GLASS Corporation will also be used.
Flooring will vary by unit type. Wide-plank engineered wood flooring will be installed in the 84- and 99-square-meter units, while units of 116 square meters or larger will have Listone Giordano solid wood flooring. Food waste processors and individual storage units are also included among the free items. However, the specific items provided will vary by development and unit type.
Bansong Station, provisionally named, is slated to be built in front of the development on the Dongtan-Indeogwon Line. Plans are also underway for an underground passage connecting Akmer Dongtan 95 with the station. In the future, passengers traveling from Bansong Station to Dongtan Station will be able to take GTX-A and high-speed rail to the Gangnam area (Samseong Station) and Seoul Station, among other destinations, in about 20 to 30 minutes.
Samsung Electronics Hwaseong Campus is about a 10-minute walk from the development, and a shuttle bus stop is also nearby. Dongtan Central Park, covering about 370,000 square meters, and Banseoksan Neighborhood Park, covering about 710,000 square meters, are also close by.
Meanwhile, Akmer Dongtan has attracted considerable interest, with around 10,000 people visiting its model home over the two weekend days. On its opening day, the 16th, queues three to four rows deep stretched from the model home to the parking lot from early morning. On the 18th, when torrential rain fell from early morning, even more visitors came than on Saturday, when the weather was clear.
