[Financial News]  Democratic Party of Korea lawmaker Jung Cheong-rae and Supreme Council member Han Min-su on the 25th pressured party leader Kim Min-seok to “disclose the evidence” for his allegation at the previous party convention of a “three-way secret alliance among anti-Myung forces, factionalism, and Shincheonji.”
Jung took to his social media accounts (SNS) that day and demanded, “Who raised the allegation of a three-way secret alliance among anti-Myung forces, factionalism, and Shincheonji? The side making the claim should provide the evidence.”
He continued, “If an investigation was conducted, then release its findings as they are. Why are you dragging your feet? I think whoever covers it up is the culprit,” he asserted.
Han, who is seen as aligned with Jung Cheong-rae, also targeted party leader Kim on Facebook, writing, “Stop making public threats and disclose the evidence for the three-way secret alliance.”
Han wrote, “What left the Democratic Party’s proud members and supporters feeling deeply humiliated and full of self-reproach was the claim made by candidate Kim Min-seok (then party leader) at the Aug. 17 party convention that ‘the essence of this convention is to break up the three-way secret alliance of anti-Myung forces, factionalism, and Shincheonji.’ Kim still has not provided evidence for this bombshell remark, which divided party members and supporters and put the party at risk.”
He said, “Even in two briefings to the Supreme Council, we heard no evidence at all for the three-way secret alliance. Those who raised the issue need only reveal what this alliance of anti-Myung forces, factionalism, and Shincheonji actually is.”
He stressed, “If you made false claims to seize control of the party, then you have crossed the line by a long way.”
He also called on Supreme Council member Park Sun-won, who heads the party membership overhaul task force (TF), to disclose whether Shincheonji members systematically intervened in the party convention, as well as specific details of party enrollment and voting.
