[Financial News] A YouTuber in their 30s who rented a boat and approached an area near the Port of Busan International Passenger Terminal to film the shark “Bukangi” was caught by the Korea Coast Guard. The YouTuber is suspected of filming port security facilities.
According to the Busan Coast Guard, at around 12:30 p.m. on the 25th, YouTuber A, in their 30s, was caught on the waters near the Port of Busan International Passenger Terminal on suspicion of violating laws related to port security.
A is reportedly known to have regularly livestreamed Bukangi on YouTube while the shark stayed in the channel at North Port Waterfront Park. When Bukangi later moved into waters near the International Passenger Terminal, where public access is restricted, A rented a harbor launch and headed there.
A also livestreamed the trip by boat on YouTube. A citizen watching the broadcast reported it, and Coast Guard officers who responded to the scene caught A.
The Coast Guard confirmed that A had filmed the International Passenger Terminal, a port security facility, and plans to notify the relevant authorities of the violation of the applicable law.
The harbor launch captain who provided A with the boat was also made a subject of investigation. The Coast Guard plans to investigate the captain on suspicion of violating the Excursion Ship and Ferry Business Act.
