[Financial News] Lotte Homeshopping has wrapped up its shopping festival, the “Kwangclick Festival,” held from the 8th to the 18th, and will host a large-scale concert over two days starting on the 14th of next month.
According to industry sources on the 25th, the Kwangclick Festival drew a cumulative 1.2 million orders over its 11 days this year. It averaged 1.3 million visitors a day. After drawing 1.35 million visitors on the first day, it drew 1.4 million on the fourth day, setting a new record for daily visitors. Visits to the mobile app also reached twice the usual daily average.
The event also attracted a younger age profile. The share of customers in their 30s and 40s who entered for a chance to receive Gwangclick Concert tickets after shopping rose 10% from the previous year. Half of those who applied for tickets to the concert’s first day were in their 30s and 40s. Unlike last year, when the performances centered on trot, this year’s broader range of genres drew participation from customers in their 30s and 40s. The total number of customers who entered was 340,000, while mission participation totaled 80,000, six times the previous year’s figure. The average purchase amount among all entrants was 370,000 won, up 20% from the previous year.
The Kwangclick Festival will continue with the Gwangclick Concert next month. A total of 13,000 people have been invited to the two-day event at KINTEX in Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province. g.o.d, Lee Jae-hoon, Kim Jong-kook and Baek Ji-young will perform on the first day, while Song Ga-in, Kim Hee-jae, Park Seo Jin, Seongri and Hong Ji-yun will appear on the second. The “Gwangclick Market,” featuring around 20 beauty and health-food brands, will also be held alongside the concert.
“This year, we reflected customers’ interests and drew participation from a range of age groups,” said Kang Jae-jun, head of sales at Lotte Homeshopping. “At the Gwangclick Concert and Gwangclick Market, too, we will continue the festival experience with content that customers can enjoy together.”
