[Financial News] AhnLab, Inc. unveiled an integrated security solution covering information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) at a Japanese security exhibition. The move is seen as signaling plans to make a full-scale push into the Japanese market, highlighting technologies to counter ransomware threats at manufacturing sites and protect industrial equipment.
AhnLab, Inc. said it participated in Security Days Fall 2026 Tokyo, held in Tokyo, Japan, from the 21st to the 23rd.
Security Days is a specialized cybersecurity exhibition in Japan held every spring and fall. Following its participation in Interop Tokyo 2026 last June, AhnLab, Inc. also took part in this event, where it showcased integrated IT-OT cyber-physical system (CPS) security technology.
Cyber threats, including ransomware targeting the manufacturing sector, have recently spread to production sites in Japan, driving increased demand for security to ensure stable equipment operations.
At the exhibition, AhnLab, Inc. showcased technology for detecting threats spreading within OT networks or entering from IT networks through its OT network security solution, AhnLab XTD. It also introduced AhnLab EPS, an OT endpoint security solution. The solution minimizes the burden on equipment and supports older operating systems (OSs) that no longer receive security patches, making it suitable even for industrial equipment that is difficult to replace.
Masaomi Kurokawa, a manager at AhnLab, Inc.'s Japanese subsidiary, gave a presentation on “The Optimal Solution for CPS Security in the AI Era,” sharing security strategies for stable operations at industrial sites.
Yoji Tsubaki, country manager at AhnLab, Inc.'s Japanese subsidiary, said, “Drawing on our CPS security experience and track record accumulated across a range of industrial settings at home and abroad, as well as our hands-on local support, we will continue to strengthen our position in the Japanese security market.”
