[Financial News] NH-Amundi Asset Management is continuing to foster shared growth through rural labor assistance.
NH-Amundi Asset Management said on the 23rd that it had visited a grape farm in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province, with which it has a sisterhood partnership, on the 20th to help with autumn farm work.
The activity was organized as part of a Nonghyup-wide rural labor assistance initiative to ease labor shortages in the countryside during the autumn harvest season. About 40 executives and employees visited the “Village Where the Scent of Grapes Flows” in Gapyeong County and helped with farm upkeep, including gathering small branches and transporting waste.
The village formed a sisterhood partnership with NH-Amundi Asset Management in 2016, prompted by the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation’s (NACF) “Creating Another Village” campaign. Since then, the company has continued its ties with the village by visiting every year.
NH-Amundi Asset Management regularly carries out rural volunteer activities at least four times a year to help address labor shortages in the countryside.
NH-Amundi Asset Management CEO Gil Jeong-seop said, “It was meaningful to be able to return to our sister village and offer help at a time when extra hands are needed during the harvest season,” adding, “We will continue our social contribution initiatives that promote shared growth with farmers.”
