[Financial News] Hana Securities is setting out to promote a culture of legacy giving through trusts that serve as substitutes for wills.
Hana Securities said on the 23rd that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yonsei University Health System to promote a culture of legacy giving.
The agreement was designed to encourage legacy giving through trusts that serve as substitutes for wills and to create a systematic giving environment in which donors’ wishes can be reliably carried out.
Under the agreement, Hana Securities will support the design of customized charitable trusts and provide specialized tax and legal advice. Yonsei University Health System plans to run donation programs so that contributions can be used to advance medicine and support patients, among other purposes.
Support is available not only to Hana Securities customers but also to anyone wishing to donate to Yonsei University Health System through a trust that serves as a substitute for a will.
“Building on Hana Securities’ expertise in trusts, we will support the reliable realization of our customers’ cherished wishes and continue to strengthen the role of financial companies in promoting a culture of legacy giving,” said Kim Hyeon-yeop, head of Hana Securities’ Investment Products Division.
