[Financial News] VISANG Education published four books in its ‘Dokpamin Concept Words’ series on the 23rd, a set of Korean-language study guides designed to help students systematically learn key vocabulary from major elementary-school textbooks.
‘Dokpamin Concept Words’ is a study guide featuring a carefully selected 600 key concept terms found in elementary-school textbooks for Korean, math, social studies and science. It uses a step-by-step learning method that progresses from ‘Sino-Korean words → sentences → paragraphs → texts,’ helping students easily understand vocabulary meanings and apply them in writing. It also includes a ‘Concept Terms Practice Book’ for students to review by writing the terms themselves.
This new release is the first offering from ‘Dokpamin,’ VISANG Education’s newly launched Korean-language textbook brand for elementary and middle school students. VISANG Education completely revamped its existing study guide, ‘CSAT Reading Comprehension,’ completing a 21-title Dokpamin series, with 12 titles for elementary students and nine for middle school students. The series is distinguished by a step-by-step learning system that starts with foundational subject-area literacy in elementary school, progresses to practical reading comprehension in middle school, and extends to the Korean section of the CSAT.
The middle-school Dokpamin series will be released in three areas: vocabulary, literature and nonfiction. The vocabulary books cover essential textbook terms and background knowledge for the CSAT, while the literature books guide students through techniques for appreciating literary works step by step. The nonfiction books build text-analysis skills through material ranging from short texts to passages from actual past exams. The elementary-level nonfiction and literature books are scheduled for staggered release in early 2027.
Heo Bo-uk, head of VISANG Education’s Content Company, explained, “Dokpamin is a brand organized in stages to help students strengthen the literacy skills they need for their studies and develop the ability to understand and analyze a variety of texts.”
