[Financial News] Korea Investment & Securities donated 2,000 gift sets to vulnerable children in Gyeonggi Province. Korea Investment & Securities, a subsidiary of Korea Investment Holdings, said on the 23rd that it had prepared approximately 2,000 gift sets to support vulnerable children in Gyeonggi Province.
The sponsorship was launched to support children in welfare blind spots while also contributing to employment stability for workers with developmental disabilities and the creation of sustainable jobs. The gifts consisted of granola, cookies, nuts, sweet potato sticks and other items made by workers at Bravo Beaver, a standard workplace for people with developmental disabilities.
The donated items will be delivered through the international relief and development NGO World Vision to child welfare facilities in Gyeonggi Province and places including the Seongnam Social Welfare Center.
Korea Investment & Securities also continues its social contribution activities to improve children’s welfare and educational environments. Earlier this month, it opened the ‘Korea Investment Dream Library’ at Good Samaritan Home in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, to improve children’s learning environment and enhance their ability to use digital devices. The initiative is now in its fifth year, having continued through this year since the first library opened in 2022.
The company also runs ‘Green Remodeling,’ which improves conditions at local children’s centers, and ‘Children Who Dream,’ a program that helps children from vulnerable backgrounds discover their talents. A volunteer group made up of employees and their families is also fostering mutually beneficial ties with local communities through hands-on activities such as ‘Happy Sharing Mural Painting.’
Korea Investment & Securities President Kim Seong-hwan said, “I hope this sponsorship will give strength to children who need society’s warm care and compassion and serve as a stepping stone to help them pursue their dreams. We will continue to give them our attention so they can grow up healthy and happy.”
