[Financial News] Busan’s Haeundae-gu said on the 23rd that it had selected two establishments, Deokhwa Daebanjeom and Haeundae Somunnan Samgyetang, which have consistently shared with neighbors in need in the community, as the 14th and 15th locations of the “Haeundae Sharing House” and presented them with plaques.
The Haeundae Sharing House designation program certifies businesses as “Companies Practicing Sharing” if they have made regular donations to help neighbors in need for at least three years or have donated 10 million won or more. Its purpose is to encourage businesses’ continued sharing activities, foster pride in fulfilling their social responsibilities, and spread a healthy culture of giving in the community.
Deokhwa Daebanjeom, designated the 14th location of the Sharing House, has donated 150,000 won each month since 2024, helping cover emergency medical and living expenses for low-income households in the area. Its cumulative donations total 4.8 million won. In particular, it has consistently shown care for its neighbors, including by delivering lunch boxes every month to four households in vulnerable groups since 2017.
Haeundae Somunnan Samgyetang, designated the 15th location, has donated 1.2 million won each year since 2008 to help neighbors in need. Its cumulative donations to date total about 24.36 million won. Since 2023, it has also continued various sharing activities, including providing ginseng chicken soup meal packages each year to 60 households in vulnerable groups.
Haeundae District Mayor Kim Seong-su said, “I am deeply grateful to Deokhwa Daebanjeom and Haeundae Somunnan Samgyetang for consistently showing love for their neighbors with the same heartfelt commitment over so many years.” He added, “I hope the two businesses’ warm generosity will set a good example in the community, encouraging more residents and businesses to join in sharing and help one another, so that Haeundae can be a warm place where people support each other.”
