[Financial News] The city of Busan said it held the joint ceremony marking the Honor Society for Sharing Master Enterprises’ 100th member on the 23rd in the protocol room at City Hall, together with Busan Community Chest of Korea.
Mayor Chun Jae-soo, Choi Geum-sik, an adviser to Busan Community Chest of Korea, and representatives of companies newly joining the Honor Society for Sharing Master Enterprises attended the event and celebrated together the arrival of the “No. 100 company,” a new milestone for Busan’s corporate culture of sharing.
A total of six companies, numbered 99 through 104 in the Honor Society for Sharing Master Enterprises, took part in the ceremony. They were No. 99 JH Lighting, No. 100 Green Chemtech, No. 101 BNK Investment & Securities, No. 102 Samhwa Trading Co., Ltd., No. 103 Hanbi Architectural Office, and No. 104 K-Sys.
The Honor Society for Sharing Master Enterprises is a corporate giving program through which companies support local communities and put the value of sharing into practice through donations and social contribution activities.
The city said the achievement of reaching No. 100 was especially meaningful as the fruit of local companies’ continued participation in sharing for neighbors in need.
The city plans to work with local companies to promote giving and social contribution activities.
Mayor Chun Jae-soo said, “The Honor Society for Sharing Master Enterprises reaching No. 100 is a meaningful achievement made possible by the warm hearts of companies coming together for neighbors in need. We will continue to work with local companies to spread the value of sharing and stand alongside socially vulnerable people, building a warm Busan where no citizen is left behind.”
