[Financial News] A total of 139 Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) employees will begin a yearlong program to use artificial intelligence (AI) to solve challenges in their day-to-day work.
LH said on the 23rd that it had held the launch ceremony for 'LH AI Frontier' the previous day at its Seoul Regional Headquarters. The initiative is intended to support employees who are experts in their respective fields in placing themselves at the center of the AI transformation and leading innovation from the field.
AI Frontier is an internal LH network of AI innovation talent that promotes early adoption of AI in the workplace and spreads a culture of AI use within the company. The third cohort includes employees with a strong interest in improving work efficiency with AI. Over the next year, they will receive AI skills training, use AI to solve challenges in their day-to-day work, and share the know-how they gain with colleagues. Immediately after the launch ceremony, the AI Innovation Center also held a lecture for the Frontiers titled 'Using AI+ in the Workplace.'
The network began with about 150 members in its first cohort, which included participants in an AI innovation challenge competition, among others. At the time, a 'generative AI subscription platform' was piloted, allowing users to access nine commercial AI models, including ChatGPT and Gemini, on a single screen. Early this year, LH selected about 150 more members for the second cohort, bringing the network to around 300, and has been testing how far generative AI can be used in actual work.
LH plans to expand the use of AI across its worksites with the Frontiers at its core, and to make the results of its 'AI Transformation' visible by sharing successful cases within the company.
President Lee said, 'I, as CEO, will take the lead in supporting and driving the creation of company-wide AX results,' adding, 'I hope the challenges and initiatives that lie ahead for all of you Frontiers will become a driving force for changing LH's DNA.'
