According to UNICEF Korea on the 23rd, a video of 'Future Interviewers,' in which Sung Han-bin participated pro bono, will be released on the committee’s official YouTube channel at 5 p.m. that day.
'Future Interviewers' is a program that reverses the roles of children and adults, with children leading the questions themselves. It was designed to encourage them to share their thoughts with one another on topics such as occupations, values, dreams, and concerns.
Sung Han-bin appeared as the 13th interviewee in the episode 'A Person Who Brings Everyone’s Hearts Together.' He answered questions from child interviewers thinking about their dreams and career paths, drawing on his own experience.
Sung Han-bin said, “It was a valuable experience that allowed me to reflect on my original intentions through the child interviewers’ questions. I will always support every child walking toward their dreams as they grow up bright and healthy.”
Listening to children’s thoughts is also one of the key principles of children’s rights. Article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) stipulates that children have the right to freely express their views on matters affecting them and to have those views respected in accordance with their age and maturity.
Heo Geum-ju, secretary-general of UNICEF Korea, said, “I hope 'Future Interviewers' will give adults a chance to understand children’s hearts a step more closely, and children a chance to talk freely about their thoughts and dreams.”
