On the 23rd, the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation announced the launch of ‘ONSO CLUB.’ It will host talks by experts and social gatherings to help people connected with the foundation interact across business and professional boundaries, and some lectures will also be open to the general public. The foundation plans to help members who meet through shared interests communicate naturally, find inspiration, and build relationships in which they encourage one another’s endeavors.
The first lecture open to the general public, ‘Mind Tracking to Find Your Own Answers,’ will take place on the 30th. Professor Kim Kyung-il of Ajou University’s Department of Psychology will explore psychological factors that influence individual choices and judgments, and share insights to help people find their own direction. Admission is free, and people can register through OnDream Society’s official Instagram account by the 28th.
Earlier, on September 30, the foundation held ‘Wednesday Ballet Salon’ with the Korea National Ballet for members. Participants watched footage of a live performance of the ballet La Bayadère and discussed the work and the stage with Korea National Ballet principal dancers Kim Ki-wan and Jung Eun-young.
Starting in November, small social gatherings with experts in various fields will be held. They include ‘ONSO Reading Club,’ focused on reading and discussion in the humanities; ‘AI Applications Study Group,’ exploring ways to use artificial intelligence; and ‘Classical Music Loved by the Movies,’ where participants will enjoy films and classical music together.
A foundation representative said, “Encounters among talented people working in different fields can be a starting point for ideas and new initiatives that are difficult to come up with alone,” adding, “We hope the relationships built here will support each person’s endeavors and lead to collaboration to solve social problems.”
OnDream Society is a social impact space the foundation opened in Myeong-dong, Seoul, in 2022. Its first floor hosts public programs such as multidisciplinary cultural festivals, visual art exhibitions, and music talks and performances, while its sixth floor is home to impact startup fellow companies. According to the foundation, as of 2025 the venue had welcomed about 185,000 visitors in total, provided free venue rentals for 254 public-interest events, and held 140 multidisciplinary cultural programs.
