[Financial News] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power’s Gori Nuclear Headquarters said on the 22nd that it had attended the Gijang County Disability Welfare Promotion Event, held at the Gijang County Indoor Gymnasium on the 21st, and carried out a sharing initiative to promote the welfare of people with disabilities in the area and foster solidarity.
The Gori Nuclear Headquarters provided support worth a total of 18 million won, including souvenirs and shuttle buses, to make things more convenient for people with disabilities and local residents attending the event and to help ensure its successful hosting.
It also provided a total of 2 million won in household support grants to seven low-income households with members with disabilities who are facing financial difficulties. The grants were funded by the Love Fund, a social contribution fund that Gori Nuclear Headquarters employees voluntarily contribute to, adding to the spirit of sharing.
Ban Byeong-hun, head of Gori Nuclear Headquarters, said, “Gori Nuclear Headquarters will continue to walk alongside the local community and spare no effort to provide practical support wherever it is needed.”
The Gijang County Disability Welfare Promotion Event is held to advance the rights and interests of people with disabilities and expand their participation in society. About 800 people attended, including Gijang County Governor Woo Seong-bin, other key figures, and local residents.
