[Financial News] Woori Bank President Jin-owan Jung engaged directly with local small business owners by attending a play with them. In addition to financial support and business consulting, Woori Bank practices inclusive finance by sharing culture and providing small business owners with opportunities to recharge.
According to financial industry sources on the 22nd, Woori Bank President Jin-owan Jung attended a play with 20 small business owners from local community-supporting businesses at Seoul Arts Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 21st. The event was organized to encourage small business owners who positively influence their communities despite challenging business conditions and to give them an opportunity to recharge.
Selected local small business owners from initiatives such as Injeong Store, New Hope Store, and Woori Neighborhood Good Store attended the event. The play they watched that day, “The Glass Menagerie,” features actor Kim Sung-ryung, chair of Good Influence Store.
Woori Bank helps small business owners strengthen their self-reliance through initiatives to boost their stores’ competitiveness, alongside financial support. Injeong Store, which it operates with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, provides branding, promotion and marketing, and business consulting to microbusiness owners who have taken the lead in contributing to their communities and are clients of the Woori Smile Microfinance Foundation or members of Good Influence Store.
Woori Financial Group’s New Hope Store is a social contribution program that supports young entrepreneurs who use Woori Smile Microfinance and are preparing to establish themselves in society through livelihood-based startups.
President Jung said, “I hope this play will offer a little comfort and renewed energy to small business owners going through the grind of daily life,” adding, “Going forward, I will fulfill the financial sector’s social responsibility through a range of inclusive finance initiatives that provide not only practical financial support but also care for people’s well-being.”
Woori Bank plans to continue providing a range of inclusive finance support to grow alongside small business owners, strengthen the self-reliance of microbusiness owners, and spread positive influence throughout local communities.
