[Financial News] Athleisure brand Andar will operate its first pop-up store, ‘Andar in Motion,’ for two days starting on the 24th at Y173, a cultural complex in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
According to industry sources on the 22nd, Andar is holding the pop-up to showcase its standing as a brand expanding its presence in global markets. It will also convey the brand’s value as it extends beyond exercise into everyday life.
The pop-up will unveil the ‘Air Cooling Capsule Collection,’ made with Andar’s signature ‘Air Cooling’ fabric. Products made from the fabric, counted on a single-fabric basis, have sold around 2,000 pieces a day, with cumulative sales reaching 6 million pieces.
Since its launch in 2018, Air Cooling has expanded into a range of products, from leggings to bra tops, zip-ups and wide-leg pants, thanks to its flexible stretch and firm, comfortable fit. More recently, its uses have expanded to include running products.
The new capsule collection retains the distinctive functionality of Air Cooling fabric while incorporating designs that naturally accentuate the body’s contours.
A range of exercise classes led by expert instructors will also be offered. They include ‘Music Flow Yoga,’ which releases tension in the body with music; ‘Burn Boot Camp,’ which trains the whole body evenly; ‘Power Pilates,’ using a mini exercise ball; and ‘Move and Reset Yoga,’ which combines strength training with restorative yoga.
A program has also been arranged that involves running around Seongsu, enjoying gayageum melodies and lotus tea, and relaxing the body and mind.
On the 23rd, the day before the event, actress Jun Ji-hyun, the brand’s ambassador, is scheduled to visit the pop-up store, try the products and explore the athleisure styles offered by Andar.
Andar CEO Gong Seong-a said, “I hope visitors will experience the new possibilities of Andar at the Seongsu pop-up, as the brand evolves beyond functionality toward a more sophisticated style.”
