[Financial News]  Soongsil University's G-LAMP Project Group announced on the 22nd that it had held an international academic event on artificial intelligence (AI) and basic sciences at New Uzbekistan University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from the 2nd to the 4th.
Researchers from Korea, Uzbekistan and China attended the event, sharing research findings in a range of fields, including AI, mathematics, statistics and chemistry, and discussing the potential for joint research.
The academic workshop presented research combining AI and basic sciences, including AI-powered life sciences data analysis, growth dynamics analysis based on organoid images, genetic risk prediction models, and methods for dimensionality reduction of graph signals.
During the event, representatives of Soongsil University's AI-Bio Convergence Research Institute and New Uzbekistan University held a separate meeting to discuss identifying joint research projects in AI and bio and ways to exchange technology.
Based on the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with New Uzbekistan University in January, Soongsil University plans to pursue joint research, including medical data analysis using AI agents.
A representative of Soongsil University's G-LAMP Project Group said, "We expect that continued cooperation with New Uzbekistan University will enable us to expand international joint research in AI-bio convergence." The representative added, "Based on the MOU signed in January, we will pursue a range of global convergence research projects, including AI agent-based medical data analysis, and produce concrete and substantive research outcomes."
