[Financial News] Soop is joining forces with Jeungpyeong County in North Chungcheong Province to produce content drawing on local cultural and tourism resources. It plans to expand programs in which streamers introduce local festivals and attractions firsthand and residents and online users participate together.
Soop said on the 22nd that it had signed an agreement with Jeungpyeong County to promote local culture and content. Lee Min-won, Soop’s CEO, and Jeungpyeong County Governor Lee Jae-young attended the signing ceremony, held on the 21st at the Reading King Kim Deuk-sin Literary Museum in Jeungpyeong County, North Chungcheong Province.
The agreement aims to combine Jeungpyeong County’s cultural, tourism and industrial resources with Soop’s platform and content-production capabilities to expand local promotion and exchange.
The two organizations will collaborate on discovering and distributing content that draws on local resources, jointly planning content linked to the region, promoting exchanges among residents, streamers and users, and publicizing the area through the platform. Soop will use its streamer network to produce and distribute content, while Jeungpyeong County will connect local facilities and resources and support production.
They plan to organize a range of programs, including a relay of busking performances, morale-boosting performances, visits to local festivals and on-site events. Streamers will experience and introduce local culture and places firsthand, while opportunities will also be created for residents and online users to take part together.
The two organizations previously held “Soop X Jeungpyeong Relay Busking” last September. On the 21st, the day of the signing ceremony, a performance by Soop’s official music-content program “Amyuso” was also held at Jeungpyeong Culture Center. Music crews “Prism” and “Mongru,” among others, performed for local residents and online users.
“We will continue working with streamers to capture the many facets of local areas in our content and pursue collaborations that enable us to grow together with local communities,” said Soop CEO Lee Min-won.
