[Financial News] The Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation announced on the 22nd that it had received the “Korea Excellent Workplace for Reading Management” certification hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It is the fourth consecutive year the foundation has received the certification, having first earned it in 2023.
The Excellent Workplace Certification for Reading Management program recognizes companies and institutions that have helped strengthen organizational competitiveness by fostering a reading culture in the workplace and creating a management environment conducive to reading, thereby improving employees’ creativity and communication skills. This year’s certification program was carried out in connection with the “2026 Reading Korea” campaign.
The foundation has established a basis for reading management through management’s sustained efforts to promote a reading culture and encourage participation. It has also run various programs, including reading activities using an electronic library and a mobile reading and learning platform, as well as the sharing of book reviews and recommendations among employees. The foundation was reportedly praised for helping create an environment where employees can naturally engage with reading in their daily lives and share knowledge.
With this certification, the foundation will receive a certificate issued in the name of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with various follow-up support programs, including assistance with book purchases through partnerships with local bookstores, visiting book concerts, and regional networking events.
Foundation Chairman Kim Hyun-jun said, “We will continue to support a range of reading activities so that reading can take root as part of our everyday organizational culture, and we will strive to ensure this helps strengthen our employees’ capabilities and improve the organization’s competitiveness.”
