[Financial News] Atomy invited journalists from China and Hong Kong to its headquarters and major production sites in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province, where it shared its product-centered global growth strategy and its efforts to foster mutually beneficial relationships with partner companies.
According to industry sources on the 22nd, Atomy invited journalists from 15 media outlets in China and Hong Kong from the 17th to the 20th. After touring Atomy’s headquarters and major production sites, the delegation attended the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) World Congress and held a group interview with Atomy Chairman Park Han-gil at the event.
The delegation first visited Atomy Park in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province. A presentation on its product strategy introduced how Atomy puts its “Absolute Quality, Absolute Price” principle into practice. The company also shared its “One Product, One Partner” principle, under which it sources each product from just one partner company. In addition, it provides around 5 billion won a year in funding for needs ranging from raw material purchases to process improvements and facility investments.
Atomy also introduced its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The company continues its community outreach in various overseas regions, including China and Hong Kong. In China, it is helping increase local farmers’ incomes and boost the regional economy by planting sea buckthorn (vitamin tree) and developing products using it as an ingredient, as well as supplying the raw material.
The delegation then visited a smart farm operated by an Atomy affiliate and observed the cultivation of curly kale and strawberries in advanced growing facilities. The crops are used as ingredients in the company’s private-label (PB) health supplements.
Finally, the delegation attended the 18th WFDSA World Congress, held in South Korea. It observed sessions discussing key issues and the future of the global direct selling industry, including artificial intelligence (AI), talent development and the regulatory environment. In an interview with the delegation, Chairman Park discussed the secret to Atomy’s overseas growth, saying, “At the forefront of Atomy’s expansion into overseas markets is the product, not people,” and emphasized that “the strategy is the same in every country: Absolute Quality, Absolute Price.”
An Atomy representative said, “We arranged this visit by overseas media to give them a firsthand look at our management philosophy and global business strategy,” adding, “We will continue to steadily expand our communications with overseas media.”
