Gangwon’s Misiryeong Healing Road lodging promotion offers 20,000 won off bookings of 50,000 won or more

[Financial News, Chuncheon = Kim Gi-seop, reporter] Tourists traveling through Sokcho, Hongcheon, Inje County and Goseong County along the Misiryeong Pass road, blanketed in autumn foliage, can get a discount coupon worth 20,000 won when they book accommodation for 50,000 won or more. The coupons will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis through the end of next month.
According to the GWTO on the 22nd, the organization is running a Misiryeong Healing Road lodging promotion from that day through November 30, together with Gangwon State and the four municipalities along the route: Sokcho City, Hongcheon County, Inje County and Goseong County. The initiative aims to naturally channel autumn visitors to Gangwon State toward overnight stays and local tourism.
The promotion is being run in partnership with NOL, a leisure platform operated by Nol Universe. Customers who book accommodation costing 50,000 won or more at one of the range of facilities in the four municipalities, including hotels, guesthouses and motels, can receive a 20,000-won discount coupon. Stays are also available through November 30. Details, including the conditions for issuing and using the coupons, are available on the GWTO website and the promotion’s detail page on the NOL platform.
Misiryeong Healing Road is a driving route linking Sokcho, Hongcheon, Inje County and Goseong County. In autumn, the foliage and mountain scenery combine to make it a route where travelers can fully experience the appeal of exploring Gangwon State’s national highways. The GWTO plans to ease the burden of accommodation costs and turn trips that once passed by in a car into longer stays that include nearby tourist attractions and lodgings, thereby boosting local tourism spending.
A GWTO official said, “We’ve made arrangements so that as you drive along Misiryeong Pass, where the fall foliage is at its peak, you can stay overnight without a hefty cost, with 20,000 won off, in any of Sokcho, Hongcheon, Inje County and Goseong County.” The official added, “We hope you’ll do more than just take a drive—you can also explore nearby attractions and stay longer to enjoy autumn in Gangwon State.”
