[Financial News] A forum for communication will be held to strengthen cooperation between construction companies in Busan and major corporations and expand opportunities to win subcontracting contracts.
Busan City announced on the 22nd that it will hold the 2026 Busan Construction Companies–Major Construction Firms Win-Win Day at Asti Hotel Busan at 2 p.m. on the 23rd.
The Win-Win Day, an event aimed at revitalizing the local construction industry and promoting shared growth, is being held for the sixth time this year.
Around 100 people, including representatives from 19 major domestic construction firms and 34 Busan specialty contractors, are expected to attend this year.
The 19 participating major construction firms are Samsung C&T, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, GS E&C, Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd., Daewoo E&C, DL E&C, Lotte E&C, POSCO E&C, SK ecoplant, HDC Hyundai Development Company, Hanwha, DL Construction, Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., Kolon Global, Dongbu Construction, Doosan Engineering & Construction, Kumho Engineering & Construction, HL D&I Halla, and HJ Shipbuilding & Construction.
The event will feature 20 consultation booths offering tailored one-on-one consultations between Busan construction companies and major construction firms.
Busan companies will present their construction capabilities, technical expertise, and key project records, while major construction firms will provide practical information, including requirements for registering as a partner company and procedures for participating in projects, to explore concrete ways for companies to work together.
Baek Myeong-gi, director of the Urban Infrastructure Bureau at Busan City, said, "With the construction industry struggling due to high interest rates and rising material costs, win-win cooperation between major construction firms and local companies is more important than anything else for strengthening the competitiveness of Busan’s construction industry." He added, "I hope this Win-Win Day will serve to strengthen close ties between major corporations and local companies."
