On the 22nd, Zeekr Korea announced that it had begun delivering the midsize electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) 7X to customers in Korea. The first vehicle handover ceremony was held at the Zeekr Gangnam flagship store on the 21st, with officials from Zeekr Korea and SK On in attendance.
The Ultra received by SK On is the top trim of the 7X. It uses a 100 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery and achieves all-wheel drive (AWD) with two motors integrated into the front and rear axles. Maximum output is 645 horsepower (ps), and maximum torque is 72.4 kg·m. Its range on a single charge is 440 km, based on the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment’s combined rating at ambient temperature.
In addition to the Ultra, the lineup includes the Pro, which uses a 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, and the Max, which uses the same battery as the Ultra. The Pro and Max have a single rear motor delivering 421 horsepower and 45 kg·m of maximum torque. Based on the combined rating at ambient temperature, the Pro has a range of 375 km and the Max 483 km. Prices are 52.99 million won for the Pro (rear-wheel drive), 59.99 million won for the Max (rear-wheel drive), and 69.99 million won for the Ultra (all-wheel drive).
SK On plans to use the 7X in a variety of ways as a company vehicle. “It’s meaningful to be part of the start of deliveries, and we’re very excited that our employees will get to experience the vehicle firsthand,” an SK On official said.
Zeekr Korea plans to expand its showroom network to 14 locations by year-end at major hubs across the country, including Seoul. It will also establish 11 service centers nationwide, including on Jeju Island. A Zeekr official said, “We’re pleased to deliver the 7X to consumers in Korea. Starting with the delivery to SK On, we’ll bring the brand experience to more customers.”
