Busan City said on the 22nd that it will hold the “2026 KB Goodjob Busan Job (JOB) Festival” on the 26th at BEXCO’s Exhibition Hall 1, together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and KB Kookmin Bank.
Twenty-eight related local institutions, including the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, and the Busan Regional Office of SMEs and Startups, will participate as organizing agencies, working together to bring in leading companies and run programs.
With the tagline “Find My Job and Open Busan’s Tomorrow,” the event will provide broad employment opportunities for job seekers of all generations, from young people to middle-aged and senior adults.
The main programs will include recruitment, promotional, consulting, and experience zones; special lectures on employment and company presentations; ancillary events; and on-site activities.
At the recruitment zone, around 220 companies, including leading local companies and KB’s outstanding companies, will conduct in-person interviews and recruitment consultations.
This year, the event has made it more convenient for job seekers to use the on-site services and expanded tailored employment support and benefits for companies and participants.
Job-seeker registration has been computerized, and QR codes have been issued to simplify registration and interview procedures. Job seekers who have not found work after the event will also receive follow-up support, including referrals to additional job openings.
A “Women-Friendly and Retail/Logistics Pavilion” has been added to support the reemployment of women job seekers and workers in the retail and logistics sectors.
The number of people eligible for subsidies for permanent hires will increase from a maximum of five to 10, and up to 500 interview participants will receive a subsidy of 10,000 won.
A talk concert will also be held, where film director Jang Hang-jun will discuss courage and taking on challenges in pursuit of one’s dreams.
The opening ceremony will feature a “Clapperboard Ceremony” in support of job seekers’ fresh starts and companies’ recruitment of talent. Using a clapperboard, which signals the start of filming, the performance is intended to mark the start of a new job for job fair participants and companies’ meeting with new talent.
Mayor Chun Jae-soo said, “This festival is Busan’s largest job festival, connecting generations and industries, and will be a valuable opportunity for all citizens to find ‘my job’ in Busan.”
