[Financial News] Exchanges, where most trading takes place in apps, are putting more emphasis on offline spaces. Upbit Lounge, once a service desk customers turned to when problems arose, has been transformed into a space featuring a forest, price charts and brand displays while retaining its original function of supporting customers during service disruptions. The move aims to expand face-to-face contact with customers beyond consultations to include experiences. Dunamu Inc., which operates the digital asset exchange Upbit, reopened the renovated 'Upbit Lounge' on the 22nd to strengthen communication with customers and offer a variety of brand experiences.
Upbit Lounge is an offline service center dedicated to customer service, outage support and consultations. Anyone who needs help while using Upbit can visit and receive assistance. With the reopening, Dunamu Inc. has expanded the Lounge beyond its existing consultation services into a multi-purpose experiential space where customers can directly explore Upbit's history and Dunamu's various ESG activities and engage with the company.
The revamped Upbit Lounge features an information desk and the social, environmental and governance (ESG) project space 'UPbiTree Garden' on the first floor, as well as themed areas on the second floor, including the 'Brand Zone,' 'Big Chart Zone' and 'Consultation Zone.' The first-floor 'UPbiTree Garden' uses large LED displays, the sounds of nature and natural scents to offer a respite that feels like being in a real forest, even in the city. The second-floor Brand Zone presents Dunamu's history and vision for the future, from its founding in 2012 and the launch of Upbit in 2017 to its expansion into global blockchain infrastructure. Drawing on Upbit's data technology, the Big Chart Zone provides an intuitive display of a range of market data, including prices for major digital assets, the Upbit Composite Index and the Fear and Greed Index.
To mark the reopening, Dunamu Inc. is holding on-site events over two days, from today through the 23rd. The events run daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Upbit members can take part without a reservation by visiting and completing verification at the first-floor information desk. Games are also on offer. Participants who flip a Bitcoin tile within 20 seconds will receive a Bitcoin coupon worth 10,000 won, and the one person who records the fastest time during the event will receive Bitcoin worth 1 million won.
The 'docent tour,' which offers an in-depth look at the space, runs every hour on the hour and at half past. It introduces key areas over about 10 minutes, and participants receive branded merchandise at the end of the tour. On the first floor, the QR code-based mind check test 'UPbiTree Challenge' offers guidance on personalized emotional care and a native-plant keycap as a prize. The photo booth, claw machine and other attractions are available for visitors to use at their leisure until 5 p.m.
Upbit Lounge is located on the first and second floors of Mirim Tower, 14 Teheran-ro 4-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A Dunamu Inc. official said, “We hope the newly renovated Upbit Lounge will become an open space for communication that offers customers both useful information and a comfortable place to relax.”
