[Financial News] Annie (real name Moon Seo-yoon), the maternal granddaughter of Lee Myung-hee, chairwoman of Shinsegae Group, and the eldest daughter of Chair Chung Yoo-kyung, has drawn attention by posting a photo of herself in front of “Shinsegae Square,” the outdoor billboard on the facade of Shinsegae Department Store’s main branch.
On the 21st, Annie posted two photos on her Instagram account showing herself on Shinsegae Square, along with a heart emoji.
The photos show Annie posing in front of the outdoor billboard on the facade of Shinsegae Department Store’s main branch in Myeong-dong, Seoul. The billboard displays a solo shot of Annie and a group shot from the music video for “CRASH,” the new song by ALLDAY PROJECT, the co-ed group she belongs to.
ALLDAY PROJECT previously made headlines when it released its second EP (mini album), “CRASH,” at 6 p.m. on the 28th of last month and unveiled the music video for the first time on Shinsegae Square. This is the first time an ALLDAY PROJECT music video has been shown on Shinsegae Square.
In November 2024, Shinsegae Department Store unveiled Shinsegae Square, a 1,292.3-square-meter billboard roughly the size of three basketball courts. Expanded to 1,353.6 square meters last year, the billboard has featured luxury brand ads, K-pop music videos, and drama and film teasers.
Meanwhile, Annie, who debuted last June as a member of ALLDAY PROJECT, a five-member co-ed idol group, drew considerable public attention even before her debut.
In a documentary released before her debut, Annie said, “My family was strongly opposed to my debut as a singer,” adding, “When I said I still couldn’t give up, my mom said she would help persuade the rest of the family if I got into college.”
Chair Chung made admission to an Ivy League school a condition, and Annie was subsequently accepted to Columbia University in the United States. She majored in art history and visual arts at Columbia, then took a leave of absence to pursue her idol activities. During the team’s hiatus in the first half of this year, she completed her remaining semesters and graduated last May.
